Bloomo Cloud Service

Remote control and real-time monitoring

A cloud service for the remote monitoring and control of Bloomo units. IoT sensor data is collected and analysed in real time so you can check operating status from anywhere. It aims to keep units running steadily and to lower maintenance cost.

Cultivation Control

The control system behind stable cultivation

Continuous monitoring and edge AI anomaly detection aim to catch early signs of culture collapse and contamination so they can be dealt with in time. Organisms enter with the wastewater being treated, so contamination cannot be fully prevented. The performance of early detection is being evaluated in demonstration.

4Stable cultivation

Bloomo Cloud monitors delivered units around the clock and aims to catch early signs of collapse or contamination so they can be dealt with. Edge AI and remote operation aim to reduce the need for staff on site.

AI
Early collapse warningAI looks for early signs of a culture collapse so that control can act in advance. Its performance (missed events, false alarms, lead time) is being evaluated in demonstration.
24/7
Continuous telemetryData from delivered units is collected automatically around the clock; anomalies trigger alerts and remote response. Response arrangements are set out in the contract.
72h
Pre-shipment burn-inLight, temperature, flow and sensor calibration are validated for 72 hours before shipment.
↺
Recovery from stored strainsOrganisms can enter with the wastewater itself, so contamination and collapse cannot be ruled out. The risk is lowered through monitoring and operational adjustment, and a collapsed culture is re-established from stored strains.
Key Features

Key features

Real-time monitoring

Real-time Dashboard

Temperature, pH, DO, turbidity, algal density and other data gathered from IoT sensors are visualised in real time on a cloud dashboard, so operating status is always in view.

  • ✓Real-time graphs of the key parameters
  • ✓Alarm thresholds with push notification
  • ✓Trend analysis and report output from historical data
  • ✓Unified management across multiple sites

Remote control and preventive maintenance

Remote Control & Predictive Maintenance

Adjust cultivation parameters and start or stop equipment remotely. Anomalies in operating data are used to spot early signs of failure, with the aim of reducing unplanned downtime (detection performance under evaluation).

  • ✓Remote adjustment of cultivation parameters
  • ✓AI detection of early anomaly signs
  • ✓Scheduled maintenance notices and schedule management
  • ✓Automatic recording of maintenance history and logs
Benefits

What it delivers

Remote monitoring

Check operating status continuously without a site visit; manage multiple sites in one place

Alerting

Notification when an anomaly is detected, reducing trouble caused by a late response

Preventive maintenance

Preventive maintenance aims to reduce unplanned repairs and keep upkeep costs down

Using the data

Analysis of accumulated data helps improve cultivation

Scientific Basis

The evidence behind it

The microalgal cultivation and water purification technologies underpinning Bloomo Cloud Service are supported by the peer-reviewed literature below. The performance of the remote monitoring and AI control layers is being evaluated in our own demonstrations and varies with the deployment environment.
